STORYLINE
When two bus crash survivors awake to discover that they are the only people left in their small town, they must form an unlikely alliance in a race to unravel the truth behind their isolation. As strange events begin to unfold, they start to question whether the town they know so well is really what it seems.
MY REVIEW
This was definitely not an Oscar winner, but it was good. Not great, but good. The story of two lonely people in an even lonelier world where the two of them are the only ones on which they can count, and not realizing how entangled their lives were from the beginning.
What I DID LIKE about this movie:
- The production itself was pretty good. Camera work alone could have been the finest I have seen in a small budget Indie-Horror.
- Acting was not bad. I'm sure with a better script it could have been so much better.
- Heavy on the symbolism and "reap what you sow" attitudes. Loved that!!
- Love that the backstory is slowly revealed over time. Slow build.
What I DID NOT LIKE about this movie:
- Some confusion in the whole writing. It seemed to flit indifferently between Indie, Horror, Thriller and a little bit Romantic Comedy. So many cliches that I gave up trying to count.
- The "Big secret" was a little too obvious for me.
- No need for the romantic aspect.
- The story is very poorly written
On a more personal note..... You know, some days you just have to stop and take a selfie. Hair was on point today!! Spent a lot of time researching what I want to have done on my tattoo. I really like what this girl had done with the Sugar Skulls and flowers. Thinking maybe something like this...
