About the blog:

Well, hello!
Thanks for stopping by to read my opinions about movies that I see. Some are older and most are new. Some I go to see in the theaters (both live performances and movies) and some I watch from the comfort of my own couch and even more, I will watch from the amazing Netflix app.
Of course, these will be my personal thoughts about the targeted item, however, it will give you an idea of whether it's a colossal waste of time or worth a shot!

MY REVIEW
As a horror movie aficionado, I felt it was just a thing that I needed to do to watch this documentary. I love the history lesson in horror using some of the latest and greatest of the filmmaking past. I especially loved Lance Henriksen as the narrator. His voice is probably one of the most soothing in the biz!

What I DID LIKE about this movie:
  • This was a social and political history lesson masquerading as a documentary.  There was just so much information presented in a smart and compelling manner that not only stuck with the idea that people LOVE to watch horror but we NEED it. We are programmed to enjoy these based on the ever-escalating terror in the world. It delves deep into the first horror movies like Nosferatu and then explains that after Vietnam the escalation of bloody disgusting imagery just kept to the scenes that people were seeing on their evening news.
What I DID NOT LIKE about this movie:
  • It does get a little repetitious and derivative of other horror anthology breakdowns. But it's by far better than most.
On a more personal note.....
Two things. This PARROT! This blow up parrot is going to live in my office until the end of September. Lisa and I decided that we wanted our office to be Margaritaville themed for the End of Fiscal Year celebration! ALSO, I won Employee of the Quarter (MVP) for Q2 2009
